Frequently asked questions
Q. What types of massage do you offer?
A. Intrinsic Balancing Touch offers reflexology, sports injury and recovery, deep tissue and hot stone therapy.
Q. What do I wear during a massage?
A. Many people undress completely, but you may choose to wear your undergarments. Your therapist will give you complete privacy to undress and you will be covered with a clean sheet, blanket or towel except for the area being worked on during your entire session.
A: Eating a light snack at least half an hour before a massage is okay. It is not recommended that you eat a heavy meal before lying on the massage table.
A: It is important to drink plenty of water after a massage to help "flush out" the toxins that were released into the body from massaging the muscles.
A: No. Alcohol of any kind should not be consumed prior to (or after) a massage. Massage releases toxins into the bloodstream and may overwhelm the liver's ability to handle the increased level of toxins due to alcohol. The therapist will not work on anyone who has consumed alcohol or who is intoxicated. Click here to review our Policies.
